Eurofins Analytics is a chemical analysis laboratory founded in 1977 by a group of physicians from Richmond-VA (USA). The laboratory was started to offer testing to the local community where workplace exposure to contaminants such as dust, silica, lead, solder fumes, hydrocarbons and the like was a concern.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association is a nonprofit organization serving professionals dedicated to addressing stressors in, or related to, the workplace that impact worker well-being. Eurofins Analytics received accreditation in 1981 from AIHA’s laboratory accreditation programs, having established proficiency in all areas of testing included in AIHA’s proficiency testing programs. Eurofins Analytics works directly with the health and safety departments of large companies involved in the manufacture of chemicals, oil, cars, trucks, airplanes, pharmaceuticals and electronics, as well as the mining, agriculture, transportation and medical industries.

Eurofins Analytics provides analytical laboratory services to engineering and consulting firms that are involved and focused on the environment, health, and safety., Eurofins Analytics provides all the equipment, supplies and expertise to assist customers in sample collection at the workplace. Eurofins Analytics also provides analytical laboratory services to a number of international companies analyzing samples from more than 50 countries including South America, Asia, Europe and Australia.

Today Eurofins Analytics handles all the necessary requirements for analyzes related to health and safety in the work environment, including technical advice, equipment, sample transport, etc. Once the samples are collected, they are sent to the laboratory via FedEx for analysis. Subsequently, a report is provided with the results. The data obtained are compared with the tolerance limits of the legislation and / or the OSHA/ACGIH limits to determine if the site is safe and complies with, eliminating labor liabilities and insalubrity associated with exposure in the workplace.
